All About Hooper Welding

Our Story

Founded in 1952 as a welding repair shop, Hooper Welding Enterprises Limited has grown to be a recognized global leader in the design and manufacture of pressure equipment to the ASME Code, Section I, VIII Div.1 & Div.2 with expertise in pressure vessels, reactors, heat exchangers and custom steel fabrication.

For over 65 years, Hooper Welding delivers design and manufacture of ASME pressure products to any size, weight and shape from vast material grades and to the highest standards and specifications. We focus on offering products manufactured with inbuilt quality and reliability by following stringent quality requirements to the highest international standards.

No project is too large or small for an excellent staff of dedicated professionals working together using the latest technology and our state of the art facilities. Over the years, Hooper Welding has responded to the markets and clients and continues to invest in equipment and infrastructure to lead the industry.

Our founder Mr. Arthur Hooper had vision that “If it can be shipped, we can build it”. Similarly, there was a high demand from valued customers who were looking for a facility which can fabricate larger, heavier and more complex pressure equipment which can support more volume and more demanding process conditions.

In 2008, Hooper committed to building a facility to further support the manufacture of the large, heavy custom pressure vessels and process equipment for the market demands and the customers we service.

In 2009, Hooper Engineered Vessels International (HEVI) was founded. A strategically designed waterfront facility, HEVI was designed with a large manufacturing shop equipped with over 150 ton lifting in each bay in a state of the art facility to support the largest most complex manufacturing. This dockside facility has doors 40’ height, and 30’ width allowing the largest in shop fabrications. Located in the Hamilton Harbor, on Lake Ontario with access to the Atlantic Ocean and via the Great Lakes access to the Mississippi River for inland transit, product can ship anywhere. Serviced by both CN & CP rail access, with multiple rail sidings on site, the rail network can connect and deliver projects throughout North America. Via rail, road or water, Hooper Welding can efficiently ship and delivery projects around the world.

For Hooper Welding, the sky is the limit. With the expertise of our many valued employees and our tremendous facilities, no project is too large nor complex to limit our abilities. Bring us the challenge, and we will deliver the equipment directly from our shop to anywhere in the world.

Hooper Welding is proud of its versatility, established reputation & presence in the industry. We are committed to total customer satisfaction while meeting expectations of employees, stakeholders and communities we service.
